The mind creates thoughts as seeds of actions.However the soul reqiures a very good intellect to understand,discern and decide.The intellect works as a mechanism too give sustenance too the seeds of thoughts that are created. Pure thoughts are elevated, when elevated thoughts are sustained ,the quality of the intellect is open, clean and broad and is described as a broad intellect. The intellect is the eye thru which there is the recognition of the physical and subtle abilities of the soul.This is why the intellect is called the voice of conscious. The intellect either sustains itself through knowledge and power from God or from physical facilities and the energy from human beings which gives limited fruit and sustainability whereas the prior is renewable and eternal
