Magic

Originally the term magic comes from the Jewish religion, they were a branch of Judaism called Magi and they in fact did supernatural tricks and so were shunned by the mainstream, but as with anything if you actually understood or practised there techniques you would logically understood how they worked, in fact there are no real mysteries just lack of understanding I think:)
