Some time when we have obstacles in our path, that is in our unravelling of the ego, we tend too become aggressive and want this pain and uncertainty too finish quickly, but some thorns are rooted very deeply, and take time and even a different approach too uprooting the obstacle. Spirituality is like flying a kite, some times you need too let out the string too catch the wind, other times you need too pull the string tighter, so adjustment is needed according too the circumstance and need of the time. When they are kite fighting though they interlock the strings and try too cut the other persons kite and thus the winner is victorious.
