The diggers of yesteryear have helped shaped Australia as it is today, realistically the envy of the rest of the world. And they were trailblazers in there ingenuity, courage and spirit. But the twist too this article is I am celebrating the power of vegetarianism in the war effort and the commonsense of a veg diet. Haha I'm talking about Anzac biscuits containing no eggs or beef fat, a win for vegetarianism worldwide. As a result they lasted for months without refrigeration, and they are a great reward snack, and furthermore the energy from vegetarian diet is fast and constant whereas meat etc actually takes more energy too consume than the benefits you reap.
